Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has been ranked as the fourth most " Instagrammable " airport in the world, according to a recent survey conducted by Singapore-based travel site Miss Tourist via The Independent.Sg . The survey analyzed Instagram posts at the 50 busiest airports around the world to determine the most popular check-in locations for travelers.

With more than 600,000 hashtags on Instagram, KLIA ranks fourth in the list of the world's 10 most Instagrammed airports, overtaking Singapore's Changi Airport in fifth place, according to the study. Los Angeles International Airport topped the list with 3.39 million signs. It was followed by San Francisco International Airport (1.04 million) and London Heathrow Airport (762000).

The report highlights how airports have evolved into destinations in their own right, offering travellers more than just a transit hub but also becoming an important space to share with the world on social media.
