KTMB now allows you to book ETS and intercity trains 6 months in advance

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) has announced that it is implementing a new ticketing system which allows users to book long-distance trains up to 6 months in advance. The new concept is being introduced in phases and involves its Electric Train Service (ETS) and Intercity trains. 

In a statement, KTMB said that tickets would go on sale on the 30th day of each month throughout the year. Accordingly, the new system would be implemented beginning this Sunday (30 July).

Hence, this Sunday, you can purchase ETS or Intercity train tickets for any date for the next 6 months, up until the end of January 2024. On 30 August, you can purchase train tickets up until February 2024 and so on. 

KTMB said that the new system would allow customers to plan their journeys early, especially for public holidays, festivals and religious holidays. For ETS and Intercity services, tickets will go on sale at 12pm every day.
