The COVID-19 cases in Malaysia have surged dramatically due to the Omicron wave. As a result of that, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has updated the measures to take for those infected by the virus. If you have found yourself positive after getting your test results, don't panic and follow these steps to perform a regular self-check on the MySejahtera app.

First, notify the authorities. If you've been confirmed as a positive case either through an RT-PCR or RTK-Ag test, you can inform the MOH (Ministry of Health) in two ways. One way is through the self notification feature via the MySejahtera. To do so, select: COVID-19 Self Test > Update Self Test Result. Alternatively, you can directly reach out to a District Health Office (PKD).

On the app, patients are required to answer twenty health questions every day for MOH to know about their health status. Some questions will be based on the measurements taken from a pulse oximeter, blood pressure monitor, and thermometer. Therefore, it's better to get these health devices ready. Lastly, the current quarantine period is 7 days for fully vaccinated patients that show no symptoms, and 10 days for partially/not vaccinated patients that are symptomatic.

As the cases continue to rise, let's stay safe and try our best to stay away from crowded places. For more local tech reports, be sure to stay tuned to TechNave.com.
