If the LRT is your main mode of transport, this news might please you. According to the Ministry of Transport’s oral answer on the Parliament website, the waiting time for the Kelana Jaya line could reach as low as 3 minutes. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, the Ministry of Transport has confirmed that the LRT Kelana Jaya line has reached a peak frequency of 3.8 minutes. As a result, we could expect it to reach the goal of 3 minutes by the end of this month. This is a month later than the intended goal.

Moreover, KLAV 27 will see the LRT line adding 27 new train sets to its plans. That includes the 3 new four-coach train sets last month. Based on the plan, Rapid KL will gradually receive 16 more trains by December 2024. These 4 car sets will phase out the 2-car trains that are running the LRT as of now.

But it does not end there, the Ministry of Transport also says it will improve the frequency of the MRT Kajang line from 6 minutes to 4 minutes. The train operator is also running special programmes to repair train components that frequently experience issues. We hope that everything goes smoothly.
