If you're one of those lamenting the lack of proper games from Konami, here's some news that might cheer you up. While it's not a new one, there's a rumour that claims the original Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2 will be coming to PC. There's also a rumour that there will be a remake of the original game for the Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5).
According to RedGamingTech (via GamesRadar), the first Metal Gear Solid game will be getting a full remake (not just a port) that will be exclusive to the PS5. Sources say it'll be a good remake, so we're assuming that Konami will be using the latest version of its Fox Engine to develop it. It'll be similar to what Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which may as well be a new game.
Interestingly enough, the source said that the game will be a PS5 exclusive but will also be coming to PC. This indicates that it'll be a timed-exclusive, rather than a permanent one. Besides that, Metal Gear Solid 2, 3, and 4 will be ported to the PS5. All three games are expected to get HD remasters, though we feel that MGS 2 could also benefit from a full remake (hint hint).
Like all rumours, do take this news with a grain of salt. But if true, we hope that Konami will be able to pull off this remake. With that said, is there some other game you wish would get the full remake treatment? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates on this.
