LG G Flex drop test checks if flexible display is unbreakable?

The LG G Flex is one of the first smartphones to sport a flexible display using a more durable plastic substrate. However, many people are saying that a flexible display is the same as an unbreakable display, which would be awesome for those of us who tend to drop our smartphones a lot. The guys at Android Authority managed to get their hands on one LG G Flex and proceeded to do a drop test, checking to see if a flexible display actually does mean an unbreakable display which you can check out in the video below:

Unfortunately, while the plastic substrate the screen is made from seems to be working fine, the glass covering this plastic still cracked from the various falls. As it is, there is very little damage to the main body of the LG G Flex, but when the damage got past or dug too deep into the self-healing material, the damage and scratches stayed on, proving that the self-healing material is more of a coating than the actual main chassis material. It also means that while it may be safe from keys and loose change inside your pocket, a drop to the ground would probably be more than the self-healing coating could handle.
