LG recently announced that their LG G3 smartphone will be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update first, starting in Poland and spreading out to other areas afterwards. The new update also brings a number of new features including better security, an unlock feature via a pre-registered smartwatch and new Android RunTime (ART) libraries for better overall performance. While other LG smartphones and devices will be getting the update, here's what LG had to say about it:

“LG is absolutely committed to giving our customers the best mobile experiences available and bringing Android Lollipop to G3 owners as soon as possible is a top priority. The new features and improvements in Android 5.0 will bring a whole new user experience to the G3 and make it even better than it already is.” Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
