LG Electronics is redefining the living room gaming experience with its upgraded Gaming Portal—now available in over 30 countries. Designed for webOS-powered TVs and devices, the platform offers seamless access to both native webOS games and AAA titles, transforming how players engage with games using either a remote control or gamepad.

UX Upgrade For AAA Games Access

Rolling out globally from August, the new UX upgrade introduces a streamlined “Play with Gamepad” menu that lets users choose their preferred cloud gaming service. Whether it’s Amazon Luna, Blacknut, Boosteroid, or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, players can jump into high-performance titles instantly.

LG + NVIDIA: World’s First 4K 120Hz HDR Cloud Gaming on TV

In a major industry first, LG has partnered with NVIDIA to bring 4K 120Hz HDR cloud gaming to its TVs via the native GeForce NOW app. This breakthrough sets a new benchmark for high-fidelity, low-latency streaming—making LG TVs the first in the world to support this level of performance natively.

Smart Accessory Integration and Personalised Offers

The UX upgrade also enhances the shopping experience. New “Recommended for you” tabs connect users to curated promotions and accessories. In 17 European markets, players can access a 20% discount on the Xbox Wireless Controller via the “Game Pad” tab. In the US, LG’s Magic Remote is available through the ShopTime app, enabling remote-only gameplay for select titles.

Expanding Game Library with Blacknut and Play.Works

LG’s Gaming Portal continues to grow its catalogue through strategic partnerships. A new collaboration with Blacknut allows players to subscribe to individual cloud titles, including fan favourites like Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, and Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway. Immersive experiences like Everdream Valley and Overcooked! 2 add depth to the platform, while controller-free titles such as The Jackbox Party Starter and the upcoming Inua – A Story in Ice and Time offer flexible play options.

Through its partnership with Play.Works, LG also brings a wide range of free games to webOS devices. Classics like Wheel of Fortune, Tetris, and PAC-MAN are joined by new additions like Creature Mix, where players blend animal DNA with AI, and Temple Maze, an epic dungeon crawler.
