LG launches truly wireless earbuds with self-cleaning feature

There are many types of wireless earbuds being sold on the market nowadays. Ranging from the sporty ones to those that come with active noise cancellation, you name it then you can get it. However, have you heard of wireless earbuds that is able to do self-cleaning? No joke, LG's latest wireless earbuds does that!

By working with its long-time audio partner Meridian Audio, the Korean tech company has launched two models of truly wireless earbuds that are the TONE Free HBS-FN4 and HBS-FN6. Meanwhile, the higher-end HBS-FN6 will get a UVnano charging case which uses ultra-violet light to disinfect the buds while they charge. It is said that several studies have shown earbuds can gather more bacteria than a kitchen cutting board and leads to ear infections. Therefore, we guess that you wouldn't need to worry about that if you're using the HBS-FN6 earbuds.

Besides the self-cleaning feature, both of the earbuds feature Headphone Spatial Processing (HSP) technology from Meridian, promising realistic soundstage and immersive listening experience. Without active noise cancellation, the snug-fitting ear tips are also able to offer better passive noise isolation. There is also an ambient sound mode which users can use to hear noise from surroundings. For longetivity, each bud offers playback time of up to six hours and the charging case will offer another 18 hours of life to the earbuds. They also come with IPX4 rating for protection and Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity.
