LG's next rollable TV may be able to unfurl itself from the ceiling

New technologies are always interesting to see, especially if they're for things we often use. In particular, LG's Signature Series OLED TV R from last year was an exciting product. This year, the Korean electronics manufacturer is expected to unveil a new model at CES 2020.

According to Engadget, LG could introduce a new model this time, one that can be 'rolled' down from the ceiling and maintain the right image orientation. We're uncertain if it would still feature an aluminium base, however, as it would be quite heavy to mount. The usefulness of such a feature is also suspect, though admittedly an interesting bit of technology.

Besides the rollable TV, LG has also been working on a foldable TV and an 88-inch 8K TV. We have no details on the tech specs and features yet. LG has at least confirmed that the 8K TV will make an appearance at CES 2020, so that's something to look forward to.
