Based on a statement by techradar.com, it seems that the South Korean government has commissioned LG to develop a stretchable display technology. The aforementioned display will then be used for various products ranging from smartphones, smart displays, wearables, and more.
While not much is known in regards to how exactly this technology will function, the source did mention that the display should stretch in a way that’s similar to a rubber band. However, the main concern I have with stretchable display is how will it affect the pixel density of the display once stretched out.
