The allure of having a device fold up is something that is enticing for the tech industry. Imagine a device that can be the size of a small smartphone, and unfurls into a tablet-sized Display. Well apparently LG is hard at work in making the technology more mass-market friendly, and has just signed an agreement to bring the screen to three different OEMs – Apple, Google and Microsoft.

Before, LG’s LCD panels are only meant to curved screens – like the LG Flex 2. With this new technology, we may see new form factors appear with the help of the three OEMs, as they push the boundaries of technology and design to the upper limits.

Will we see a new Microsoft Surface with a foldable screen? An iPhone that can unfold into an iPad? A new type of Google Nexus device? Stay tuned to TechNave as we bring more news on this new technology straight to you.
