The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) has announced that taxpayers can now apply to pay their tax balances or tax arrears via instalments through its new e-Ansuran initiative. It added that the e-Ansuran service has been accessible via the MyTax portal since 5 March.

In a statement, LHDN said that the initiative allows taxpayers to apply to pay their tax balances or tax arrears and get approval automatically without any supporting documents. Here are the requirements for taxpayers to use the e-Ansuran service:

  • The amount applied is over RM300
  • The number of instalments ranges between two and six payments
  • Only payments of income tax are applicable and don’t include ongoing instalment plans

Taxpayers can access the e-Ansuran service by logging into the MyTax portal here. Additionally, LHDN asserted that any cancellation of e-Ansuran applications can only be done at LHDN offices.
