Lawsuit between Apple and Epic reveals that iMessage could've been available on Android a long time ago

During the antitrust trial between Apple and Epic, there were a few documents from Apple which revealed that iMessage was not made available to Android devices even though the app did not run into incompatibility issues. This is largely due to the orders made by Apple executives to keep iMessage exclusive to the iOS platform, making it harder for existing iOS users to migrate to Android-powered smartphones.

While limiting iMessage to devices running on iOS is not illegal, it does give Epic more proof of Apple trying to maintain a market monopoly. However, do take some of the information with a grain of salt, as the information did not come directly from Apple themselves.
