Awhile back, there were rumours and whispers about League of Legends coming to mobile and guess what? They’re true! During League of Legends’ 10th Anniversary stream earlier today, they announced the arrival of Wild Rift, which is a mobile version of League of Legends.

As reported before, the game does seem like it needs a degree of skill to play. From what the trailer looks like, skill shots are still an integral part of the game. Each game ranges around 15 - 20 minutes with a dual control design. Which means, 200 IQ outplays without aim assists are definitely possible and needed in order to win games.

The game has been created from scratch instead of porting the original PC game. This is to ensure that the gameplay can be implemented just right as porting from PC could not provide that. The downside to this approach is that not every single champion and skin will be available at launch. Also, the skins you already have on PC would not be able to be transferred over to your mobile account. However, there are a lot of rewards ready for players who have spent time on League of Legends PC.

In addition, 2 other mobile titles from the gigantuan company was also announced. The first one is a card game based on the League of Legends named Legends of Runeterra. What they claim sets this game apart from other mobile/PC card games is the fact that collecting cards will not require too much time and money. Cards can be levelled up in game and can be collected via weekly chests. Of course, you can also buy cards that you want instead of getting many, many packs instead.

The second game announced is the much loved Teamfight Tactics. Currently, the game is PC in the League of Legends client. However, this is set to change as it will be moved to an app of its own and will be brought over to mobile as well. Since the game is very strategy based and very popular, it is not surprising that the game is being brought to mobile, to cater to on-the-go and casual players.

Other than that, Riot Games also shared their plans for PC as well with a FPS shooting game codenamed “Project A”, a League of Legends MMO, a League of Legends fighting game as well as a brand new animated series surrounding the champions of League of Legends which will be debuting next year. Also, we finally get to see Senna in the flesh, revealed as a support marksman for the game.

Riot Games really pulled out all the stops during their 10 year anniversary and it really makes me excited to see how everything will turn out. We may be seeing most these announcements out by next year. What about you? Keep up with the latest mobile gaming news on TechNave.com!
