First-person shooter (FPS) games will never get old with developers keep instilling new ideas into the game category. Earlier, we’ve heard Riot Games, the maker of League of Legends, is developing its own FPS game, and it was put under a project codenamed ‘Project A’. Now, the 5v5 character-based shooter has gotten an official title and it will be called Valorant.

If you’ve not heard of this news, Riot Games is in the midst of developing a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive alternative to the FPS category. What makes Riot’s Valorant different is it will be featuring characters that each have their own special abilities to complement the gunplay, be it a superpower or special armour. Other than that, people are also saying that the game is giving a certain Overwatch vibe because of the design.

The gameplay video has definitely hyped us showing off the characters' abilities, which one of them has emitted something that looks like Airbending! You can also see the characters are not using any out-of-this-world weapons, and real-life guns are being used instead. According to a source, each gameplay will take around 30 minutes and it can last longer if both teams were on fire!

Through an official press release, Riot has also promised to bring stable gameplay to the players by investing in dedicated 128-tick servers. The developer has also mentioned that they will be fighting off cheaters to ensure fairness among the players from day one. Valorant is going to be globally launched in Summer 2020 and we can’t wait to try it out!
