Based on a statement by gizmochina, it seems that the Huawei Mate 40 Pro is expected to come equipped with a 3D facial recognition sensor hidden under the notch at the top of the display. With that said, the source also hinted that the device will most likely use the aforementioned sensor for authenticating digital payments.

While this technology isn’t new, we can expect Huawei to showcase the various features that will use the 3D facial recognition sensor. Other than that, there is no official information in regards to the Huawei Mate 40 Pro other than it will most likely come with a 90Hz display and a next-generation Kirin chipset.

With all that said, do take some of the information provided with a grain of salt due to the fact that Huawei has yet to provide an official statement on the leaks. Not only that, but there's also no news on the Malaysia release date, exact tech specs, and local pricing either.
