According to Android Authority, there are new information after the updates about the Pixel 8 and Pixel Pro 8 last month. These updates should set the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro with decent battery life and good fast charging capabilities.
According to them, the newest Pixel smartphone from Google could include a 4480 mAh battery and 24W wired charging. This is a welcome improvement compared to the Pixel 7 battery capacity of 4270 mAh with 20W wired charging. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro is rumoured to come with a 4950 mAh battery with 27W wired charging. Previously, the Pixel 7 Pro featured a 4926 mAh battery with 23W wired charging.
Furthermore, the latest Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro could come with the Broadcom BCM 4398 chip. This is significant progress from Google as the Pixel 8 series could support Wi-Fi 7, which offers lower latency, faster speed, and better stability. As for now, there are no official announcements on the release date for the Pixel 8 series, but the product might be slated for release this October just like its predecessors.
However, consumers should be aware that the latest batch of smartphones from Google could come in limited numbers due to the lack of availability. Hence, a price increase should be expected.
