That's right, Left 4 Dead 2 is back from the "dead" and there's a new major update after 8 years. According to Valve's announcement, The Last Stand update was solely created by the L4D community and there are new maps, new weapons, new game modes and many more.

In this latest update, The Last Stand is also a brand new campaign itself which is based on an original Survival map. If you recall, it's the part where you and your friends have to wait for a boat to arrive at a lighthouse nearby so this is sort of like a revamped level. Apart from that, there are 26 new Survival maps as well as a new Fuel Crisis (remember the shopping mall level?) levels.

In addition to that, there are also new melee weapons such as the shovel and pitchfork. A ton of other updates can be read in the L4D2 Steam page, including new animations, PvP enhancements, new Mutations, bug fixes and more. Are you ready to take The Last Stand? Good luck and have fun!
