Lenovo K8 Plus

Besides Lenovo’s recent barrage at the IFA 2017, Lenovo has been quite quiet in their mobile department until yesterday, revealing a new K8 and K8 Plus smartphones in India. The K8 doesn’t have any price tag but the K8 Plus price cost 10,999 rupees (~RM724). For some reason, the source didn’t list the full tech-specs but here’s what we know so far.

According to the source, it seems that both are using the same 5.2-inch display, the same 32GB ROM (expandable memory up to 128GB) and 4000mAh battery. The RAM doesn’t seem to be specified but Flipkart.com said the K8 Plus is using the 3GB RAM variant and nothing on the K8. Moving on, the K8 Plus is using a MediaTek Helio P25 processor and a dual rear 13MP main camera + 5MP secondary depth sensor that helps to create the bokeh effect, whereas the K8 features a MediaTek Helio P20 processor and sports a single 13MP main camera. And of course, both phones come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

And…that’s about it. Not really a big hoo ha about these new K8 series and it seems to be aiming at the entry level target segment. Lenovo Malaysia might actually bring these into Malaysia but we shall see. Stay tuned for more Lenovo news at TechNave.com.
