At Lenovo Innovation World 2025, Lenovo unveiled its latest lineup of products. Spanning high-performance PCs, intelligent tablets, immersive gaming devices, and Motorola smartphones. This also includes the global release of its second-generation handheld gaming PC, the Legion Go 2, which is available for the Malaysian market.
What's New With the Legion Go 2?
The new Legion Go 2 sports an 8.8-inch WUXGA OLED display with a 144Hz variable refresh rate (30Hz–144Hz) and HDR TrueBlack 1000 certification. Additionally, it is powered by up to an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor paired with up to 32GB of 8000MHz RAM and up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 storage, with support for another 2TB via microSD.
Lenovo has also upgraded the battery to 74Whr, over 50% larger than the first-gen Legion Go 2. Not only that, the detachable TrueStrike controllers have been re-engineered for comfort and versatility. They feature:
- Ergonomic redesign with smoother lines and smarter button layouts
- FPS Mode, turning the right controller into a vertical mouse for precision shooting
- Hall effect joysticks for drift-free accuracy
- Large pivot D-pad for fluid combos in fighting and retro games
- Three programmable buttons customizable via Legion Space

The controllers also enable handheld, console, and tablet modes, and importantly, remain backwards-compatible with the first-gen Legion Go 2. Other highlights include a robust kickstand for table play, dual USB4 ports (top and bottom) for easier docking and charging, and a fingerprint sensor built into the power button for instant logins.
