Lenovo Legion Y700 Gaming Tablet revealed with 8.8-inch 2K 120Hz display

It’s been a while since the last Android Gaming tablet but this may be changing with the announcement of the Lenovo Legion Y700 Gaming Tablet. So far, only a poster and some leaks have appeared so it’s not a release, but the 8.8-inch 2K (2560 x 1600 pixels) 120Hz display with 240Hz touch sampling and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut on the tablet does sound promising.

Not many other features were revealed but we expect Dolby Atmos speakers and at least a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 if not the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. No news on camera tech specs but if Lenovo are looking to appeal to gamers they should have a good front camera for those game streamers out there. The poster does show a single rear camera with an LED flash though.

Quite obviously there were no Malaysia release dates or pricing details just yet, but if Lenovo are looking to compete with say the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro then the Legion Y700 gaming tablet should go for around RM1600 or so. We do think that the 8.8-inch display could hit the sweet spot between smartphone and the usual 10-inch tablet form factor most tablets go for.
