Lenovo seems to be going for double this year. Yesterday, sources spotted a second gaming smartphone that's slated to launch sometime this year. It's a device that looks slick yet simple in design. But the focus is still the Legion Y90, which has a powerful air-cooling system.

In its latest Weibo post, Lenovo posted a video that teases the Legion Y90's cooling system. Unlike most gaming smartphones, this one has two active cooling fans inside to keep its core components from thermal throttling. Lenovo claimed that the system can deliver up to 180.65cm³/s of airflow, which is a lot for a mobile device.

In related news, the Lenovo Legion Y90 will be available in six different colours. According to Evan Blass, the phone's official name is the Legion Phone 3 and there are two variants - Elite and Pro. Based on a previous report, the Legion Phone 3 Pro would be the variant with 18GB of RAM (+4GB virtual RAM) and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage (+128GB SSD).

On paper, an air-cooling system should be rather efficient. But there will be dust build-up, so that's something Lenovo has to address. Do you think this new dual-fan cooler is better or should Lenovo stick to liquid-cooling? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about the device.
