Have you ever come across a product with a name you considered unusual? For some, that would be the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel. Maybe Lenovo also realised this, which is why it's looking to go with a more conventional name for its next gaming smartphone.
Lenovo has teased a new Lenovo Legion Y90 gaming phone, which might launch in January 2022. The image revealed that the phone has a large 6.92-inch AMOLED display with refresh rates of up to 144Hz and a 720Hz touch sampling rate. That's three times the touch sampling rate of the Legion Phone Duel 2's display, by the way.

What's interesting is that there seems to be a front camera on the top-left of the display, which is an unusual placement. For your info, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 has a pop-up 44MP camera on the right side. This setup is great for those who plan to stream, but the extra front camera could be better for regular selfies.
As a new model, the company would want to distinguish it from its predecessor with notable upgrades. In my opinion, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is a shoo-in. We could also see the haptic shoulder buttons upgraded to physical ones that pop up.
With that said, what do you think of the name change for Lenovo's gaming phone series? Do you like the change or prefer the old name? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about it.
