After the Redmi K50 Gaming, there's still another highly anticipated gaming smartphone waiting for its debut, and it's the Lenovo Legion Y90. Today, the company's official Weibo account has teased the device, revealing that it'll be the industry's first to have RAID 0 configuration.
Besides that, the Legion Y90 is said to arrive with solid-state drive (SSD) and UFS 3.1 storage chips. It's worth mentioning that SSDs on smartphones is not a new technology, as Apple has been using them since the iPhone X. However, the heterogeneous design from Lenovo will allow using the standard UFS storage system with an SSD working in RAID 0 configuration.
RAID 0 configuration is usually found on high-end PC and laptop builds. This time, Lenovo might have achieved a technology breakthrough and will present it with the Legion Y90 in the coming months. Lenovo says it'll bring higher storage performance by improving the read and write speeds of the UFS 3.1 storage by 50%.
