It can be configured with an optional magnetic-attach pen utilizing Wacom protocol. Additionally, the display supports 600nits HDR brightness and Dolby Vision where supported. Also impressively, the ThinkPad X1 Fold has been through MIL-STD-810H standards, including its 100% recycled woven performance fabric cover.

Other notable features include three USB Type C ports, such as two Intel Thunderbolt 4 ports that are available so that at least two are always accessible in any mode. Then for the speakers and microphones, the ThinkPad X1 Fold comes with three Dolby Atmos speakers and a pair of microphone arrays. The mics are supported with Dolby Voice optimizing microphone.
