Lightweight & sleeker ASUS VivoBook Ultra series officially launched today starting from RM2699

If you remember, ASUS Malaysia recently announced and launched four new laptops powered by AMD in Malaysia and one of them was the VivoBook Ultra A412. This time around, another two more models will be joining alongside the notebook which is the 15" variant, VivoBook Ultra (A512) and the VivoBook Ultra K403 from a starting price of RM2699.

The three notebooks shown at the ASUS VivoBook Ultra Series Product Launch x KittieYiyi Fashion Collection look more or less the same, but let's go through one by one starting with the VivoBook Ultra K403 first. With the theme of "ultra" going on, this notebook weighs only 1.3kg with military-grade durability with a respectable battery life of 24 hours (lab tests).

Transparent Silver, Slate Grey, Coral Crush and Peacock Blue for the A512 and A412. The surface changes colour tone depending on how light strikes the laptop surface

Like the current new ASUS laptops nowadays, it has a four-sided 14-inch NanoEdge display with 4.1mm bezel which results in an 87% screen-to-body ratio. Furthermore, it's powered by to an 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processor with up to 8GB of RAM, a 512GB PCIe SSD, dual-band WiFi 5 (802.11ac) and many more.

Next, the VivoBook Ultra (A512) and its A412 counterpart are more or less the same except for the screen size (15.6-inch vs 14-inch). Using the same NanoEdge display and 87% screen-to-body ratio. Both of these ultrabooks are powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processor with NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics, and also features the trademark ErgoLift hinge that tilts the keyboard for typing convenience.

In addition, there are a wide array of ports including USB Type-C, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, and USB 2.0, HDMI output, and a micro SD card reader for compatibility with current peripherals, displays, and projectors. Fast-charge technology enables users to charge a low battery to 60% in just 49 minutes and you don't need to worry about any battery hazard issue, it has an Integrated ASUS Battery Health Charging technology.
