It's interesting how open-source project can be added to a variety of devices. For example, on a Nintendo Switch. Specifically, some enterprising developers have found a way to flash the console with a UI that runs on Android 10.

According to Wccftech, someone on the XDA Developers forum managed to get a Nintendo Switch to run LineageOS 17.1 (Android 10). Of course, this is not exactly something new. But previously, developers were only able to install Android 8.1 on the console, and that OS is quite dated by now. The newer version will make it possible for you to run play more recent games on the console.

Of course, the custom OS isn't completely bug-free. It's confirmed Nvidia Shield games won't work, the Joy-Con's D-pad might go haywire on some apps, and the Bluetooth audio could stutter on some headphones. Do keep in mind that you might brick your console if you attempt this. Also, your Switch can't be flashed with this custom OS if it's updated past a specific firmware version.

Having said that, why would anyone even flash a Switch with Android? If you know the answer, do share it in the comments below! Also, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
