Not too long ago, there was numerous news that LinkedIn got breached and millions of accounts were posted for sale on an online forum by an anonymous user. The company launched an investigation and this is what they have to say about the incident.

According to an update from LinkedIn Corporate Communications, they stated that it wasn't a data breach at all and no private LinkinIn member bata got exposed. In fact, they said that the investigation revealed the data was actually scraped from LinkedIn and other various websites. That includes the same data reported earlier back in their April 2021 scraping update.

With that in mind, you can pretty rest assured that your LinkedIn account is safe and sound. LinkedIn also wants you to know that you can always make a report if anyone tries to steal your data and misuse it. They also sent us additional information on their policies and how they protect their members' data, where you can read them here.
