As August comes to an end, we approach two major dates for our country, namely 31 August and 16 September. In conjunction with this Merdeka season, various smartphone brands are running some amazing promotions. To make it easier for you to shop and compare the available promotions, we've made a list of available promos below.
Honor
Honor Malaysia is offering promotional prices until 1 September for most of its products, including the Honor 9X, 8X Max and 8A, as well as the Magic Earbuds and MagicWatch 2. For products not sold at promotional prices, each purchase will be accompanied by special gifts such as bags, smart bands and more.

Xiaomi
Xiaomi Malaysia will also have a special campaign, where every purchase of selected smartphones will entitle users to participate in a lucky draw to win prizes worth a total of RM388888. This includes HP laptops, Sony speakers, Tefal air fryer, and Touch 'n Go cards.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi products such as Mi Smart Band 5, Mi True Wireless Earbuds and Redmi Power Bank are also sold at lower prices.
Huawei
From 20 August to 20 September, Huawei Malaysia is hosting a promotional campaign where various products are sold at special prices, including Huawei Mate P-Series, nova and Y-Series smartphones, as well as MatePad tablets, MateBook laptops, Watch GT2 and Freebuds wireless earphones.
Customers will also take home special prizes in every purchase and get the opportunity to participate in a competition where the main prize is a Huawei P40 Pro+.
OPPO
For OPPO Malaysia, the big promo would be the Merdeka Mega Deals campaign where lucky customers can take home various prizes, including the Grand Prize - a Proton X70. Also, OPPO will hold a Lucky Draw Gift Away Spin at selected OPPO stores for customers to win prizes such as Enco Free wireless earphones.
Besides that, you can participate in the 'Be RENOgrapher' videography competition. The competition runs from 26 August to 23 September 2020! This competition has two categories namely - Creative MV and OPPO Reno4 Pro Instagram Filters. You can find out more by scanning the QR code below!
vivo
vivo's special promo is to offer customers a rebate of RM200 when they purchase selected phones before 31 August, including the vivo V17 for RM1099 (original price at RM1299).
A rebate of RM200 can also be redeemed for the vivo X50 Pro 5G if you want to replace your old vivo phone. Additionally, customers can participate in the Merdeka Flash Sale where they have a chance to win an Osmo Mobile 4, vivo TWS Neo earphones and other exciting prizes.
Samsung
It should be noted that this Samsung offer is not a Merdeka Day offer, but will run for a few weeks! First, you can now buy Samsung Galaxy A51 (8GB RAM) for a discount of RM100 at Samsung Malaysia e-store, Samsung Experience Store and all participating authorised distributors. realme
realme has a special Merdeka offer exclusive for the entry-level realme C11 smartphone. On 31 August, the realme C11 will retail for just RM399! The two variants of the realme C11 are available for purchase via Lazada or Shopee.
Lenovo
This is the right time if you want to buy an AMD-based Lenovo IdeaPad laptop. The Lenovo IdeaPad AMD Merdeka Special offer will run from 29 August to 2 September 2020.
Through this offer, you will get a rebate of RM50 for every purchase of the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (14-inch), Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 (15-inch), Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (15-inch), or Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 (14-inch). Acer
Recently, Acer announced that they are celebrating this month of independence by with 5 of their latest gaming laptops! In line with the ongoing Acer Day promotion until 30 September, there will be various exciting offers available.
