We didn't see much of flying drones in 2019 but it looks like they'll be back this year. A reliable source on DJI drones has hinted that a new model for DJI Mavic series could be coming soon. Posted of the alleged new drone were posted on Twitter, depicting what seems to be a successor to the Mavic Air.

Aerial photographer and DJI drone pilot OsitaLV tweeted a series of pictures what's supposed to be the Mavic Air 2 drone. In the tweets, he pointed out that the new version is smaller but features the same design. The spot to attach a phone has also been moved from the bottom of the remote controller to the top. It's also supposed to have rear obstacle sensors and silent propellers, which should improve the drone's ability to avoid collision and be quieter.

DJI hasn't made an official announcement on launch dates, availability or price yet. However, OsitaLV also casually mentioned that it's time to sell the Mavic Air, so the Mavic Air 2 will be coming sooner rather than later. Some are speculating that it will be launched in April 2020.

If you've been thinking about getting a mid-range drone, it might be better to wait for this to launch first. Having said that, are any of you still interested in purchasing flying drones? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news on tech and gadgets.
