Local newspapers demands Google and Facebook to share their ad revenue

It seems that local newspaper companies are requesting Google and Facebook to share their ad revenue, due to the fact that most of the aggregated news derived from sources such as News Straits Times, The Sun, Borneo Post, and The Edge. Not only that but based on a statement by Mustapha Kamil Mohd Janor, Facebook and Google were re-using content by traditional media companies for the past 15 years.

Mustapha Kamil hopes that the government would take this issue into consideration, so that the revenue generated from the content by traditional media company will be shared accordingly.
