In recent years, more and more ladies have become interested in gaming. While that's good, many gaming products are still male-centric, so it took some time for brands to manufacture some feminine gaming accessories. Ladies, introducing you to the Logitech G Aurora collection.

The Logitech G Aurora set we received consists of the Logitech G715 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard, Logitech G705 Wireless Gaming Mouse, and Logitech G735 Wireless Gaming Headset. They are white and simple looking, featuring RGB lighting. The keyboard even has a cloud wrist pad. Since the collection was designed with female gamers in mind, we got our female writers from the TechNave BM team to try the set.

Logitech G715 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard

To start with the keyboard, our writer said that the Logitech G715 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard was pretty responsive, durable, and had a nice clicking sound. Complementing its simplistic white design is the cloud wrist pad, one of the most comfortable cushions she has ever used. It's also relatively lightweight at just 976g only.

Since it's a Bluetooth keyboard, you get the convenience of a wireless connection to a PC or other devices. You can also connect it via a USB-C to USB-A cable that doubles as the charging cable, which is included in the box. As you can see, it doesn't have any Numpad keys. But this really saves up space on your desk or when you want to keep it inside a bag.

Some extra buttons on the keyboard

The typing experience was impressive and smooth too. Our writer didn't have any connection problems, but it has a bit of mini-lag when not used for over 30 minutes. This is because the connection went into 'sleep' mode. It's also nice to know that keycaps won't get smudged that easily, even if your fingers are greasy.

The RGB lighting is powered by Lightsync technology with blue, purple and pink LEDs under each keycap, outputting 16.8 million colours. Somehow, Logitech managed to make them look quite feminine, and it's visually pleasing in the dark. As for battery life, our writer charged it only once and never recharged it in the two weeks she was using it. But based on the Logitech website, it can last up to 25 hours of usage.

Rather "feminine" RGB lights, if that makes sense

Logitech G705 Wireless Gaming Mouse

Of course, the gaming keyboard is not complete without a gaming mouse in hand. Like the keyboard, it's wireless but can be connected via a USB-A dongle. The G705 has a familiar design and is very comfortable to hold. It comes in white with RGB lighting that offers 16.8 million different colours. You can also set lighting effects like Verticool, Ocean Wave, and Bounce.

Below the mouse is a switch, the optical sensor, and a button to toggle between connected devices. Then there's a USB-C port on the front for charging. On the left side of the mouse, there are two buttons for your thumb as extra buttons and trust me, it's a lot more useful for gaming than you'd realise. The clicking sound isn't silent, but the mouse features an 8200 DPI sensor which is neat for gaming sessions.

A good look at the gaming mouse

Even if you don't plug in the USB-C cable, the G705 can last pretty long. Up to 40 hours, according to Logitech. Like the keyboard, our writer only charged it once during the two weeks, so it met her expectations.

Logitech G735 Wireless Gaming Headset

To complete the gaming experience, Logitech also delivered the Logitech G735 Wireless Gaming Headset to us. From a design perspective, the G735 is similar to the Sony WH-1000XM5 and Apple AirPods Max. The white strip provides a premium finish that is visible on the head strap and ear cushions. Of course, the main difference would be the RGB lighting.

According to our writer, the G735 headset was very comfortable and light to wear, as it only weighed 273g. The headset features 40mm drivers with Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic Spatial Sound system support, allowing it to deliver immersive audio for movies and music. Our writer said her ears didn't feel warm even after hours, thanks to the cushions on the head ring and earcups.

She also confirmed that the headset's battery life can last 56 hours if the RGB lighting is turned off or 16 hours with continuous gaming sessions. In addition, you can wear it at a distance of up to 20 metres without any audio interference. Besides the usual power button and microphone port, there is also an audio wheel and an A/B switch to balance the volume between connected devices.

You can bend the microphone, but it will straighten itself no matter what

While it sounds great, she was not satisfied with the microphone because it only bends for a while and goes back to being straight, which can be annoying. The sound quality that was recorded isn't excellent, but it was still able to isolate noise well.

Conclusion - Good quality but at a price

According to our writer, the Logitech Aurora collection is suitable for ladies starting to pick up gaming, but it's quite expensive at RM799. Despite this, the set produced good quality and smooth connection during the two weeks she had it.

Working on the G715 wireless keyboard has been a pleasant experience compared to other gaming keyboards she has previously used. Compared to the Corsair K70 Pro Mini Wireless, the keystroke sound and performance when playing games are smoother without interruptions. If you want cheaper Logitech gaming keyboards, you can get the Logitech G913 TKL Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard at about RM730 on Shopee.

The G705 wireless gaming mouse is also rather expensive at RM399. But then again, it's still worth getting one due to the ergonomic design and smooth connection for gaming. But if you want something more affordable, there's the Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse MX ANYWHERE 3 at about RM298 on Shopee.

Last but not least, the G735 wireless gaming headset offers a satisfying audio experience but a subpar microphone that's less than flexible. At the price of RM949, it is indeed a stylish headset. But you could get a more affordable headset with better audio quality, like the Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G733, priced around RM699 on Shopee.
