Logitech G, the gaming division of the Swiss peripheral giant Logitech, has announced a partnership with Tencent Games to work on a dedicated cloud-based handheld console. It will be something like the Valve Steam Deck, offering players a device with controls to stream games on the go.

According to The Verge, the cloud gaming handheld will support Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia's GeForce Now service. The two partners will also work with Microsoft and Nvidia on the hardware. There are not many other details, but we should hear more about the device in the upcoming months as it's said to launch later this year.

"As one of the leading global platforms for game development, publishing and operations, Tencent Games has been at the forefront of innovation and it's why we partnered with them," explains the general manager of Logitech G, Ujesh Desai. "As someone that grew up playing video games, the idea of being able to stream and play AAA games almost anywhere is super exciting, and we can't wait to show everyone what we've been working on."
