Logitech G335 Review - Stylish and comfortable gaming headset that's great for streamers

When Logitech Malaysia released the Logitech G335 in the local market, it offered style and comfort so you can game and live stream for several hours effortlessly. However, at the price of RM269, it is probably not the most affordable gaming headset that’s out there in the market.

With that in mind, is the Logitech G335 worth the money? In this review, we’ll be testing this gaming headset to see whether it’s worth your hard-earned money. Without further ado, let’s have a closer look, shall we?

The bright colours do seem really attractive!

The foam/mesh earcups look very comfy!

First and foremost, the first thing you will notice is how much the G335 stands out due to its bright colour scheme, with a combination of either green and purple, white and blue, or black. For our review, we have a white coloured chassis with a blue elastic headband and ear cups, which is a nice change of pace from my mostly black gaming setup.

While the chassis is made of mostly plastic, it still feels solid enough to not break in half when bent, and it’s light enough (240g) to be worn for several hours without feeling tired. Nevertheless, some might not like the plastic construction because they do not feel like a premium product compared to headphones with metal construction.

You can see that it's clearly a G335 headset on the right earcup

It's flexible enough to bend without breaking

However, what we liked about the G335 was the elastic band that ensures nothing hard is pressing against your head while wearing it for extended periods. Because of the bright colours, my friends often joked that the person wearing it looks as if they were a full-time gaming live streamer.

One flaw about the gaming headset is that it is a little on the small side, which might not be comfortable for those with larger heads. The earcups feel very comfortable as they are made of foam wrapped in a breathable mesh material. Unfortunately, it’s not as great at passively blocking out external sounds.

The earcups are vertically adjustable to fit most heads

The elastic bands are detachable for easy cleaning

When it comes to internals, the G335 comes with a pair of 40mm neodymium drivers that’s more than capable of producing clear and well-balanced audio. While it does not have the best sound, it’s still more than enough to watch movies, play games, and listen to music.

The microphone of the headset is Discord Certified, which gives you the confidence that people on the other end of the call can hear you loud and clear. However, don’t expect studio-grade audio quality as those kinds of microphones would most likely cost 2 to 3 times the price of the G335 headset.

Volume control found on the left earcup

You can lift up the microphone to mute or lower to unmute

You can control the volume of the headset via the in-line control found on the left ear cup. Also, because it is connected via a 3.5mm audio jack, the headset can be used on any device that has a 3.5mm audio jack slot.

Overall, the Logitech G335 gaming headset offers good audio quality, comfortability, and style at the price of RM269. However, it does have some drawbacks, like the headset being a little on the small side, which can be uncomfortable for those with a larger head, or the mediocre sounding microphone.

Deep earcups to accomodate almost any ear size

If you like the Logitech G335 gaming headset but want a few more features, you should consider getting the Logitech G733 wireless gaming headset, which has many design similarities along with several extras like a detachable microphone, and up to 29-hour battery life at the price of RM699. Not only that, but it also comes with the Blue VO!CE feature that helps improve the audio using noise cancellation, equalisation, and more.
