Remember the Finsta trend back in 2012? Looks like the trend could make a comeback soon. Recently, Instagram has been testing a new feature called “Flipside”. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, Finsta is a slang for “Fake Instagram”. That means a fake account made so you can interact with your close friends more privately. Reportedly, being on a Finsta allows you to post images that are accessible to a smaller circle of people.

Additionally, the trend could make a comeback in the form of “Flipside”. Thanks to this feature, you can create a secondary photo grid that is viewable to certain people. Although, it’s kind of similar to the “Close friends” feature introduced by Instagram last November. In case you didn't know, this feature allows you to limit your Instagram posts and reels to designated friends only.

We have yet to confirm other details on the subject. After all, it would be redundant for Flipside to be introduced when such a feature already existed. Perhaps Instagram will introduce multiple features with the Flipside soon.
