MACC will use AI to strengthen efforts in combating corruption in Malaysia

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has revealed that it will adopt new technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), to strengthen efforts in combating corruption in Malaysia. Its Chief Commissioner, Tan Sri Azam Baki, said that this move is in line with the government’s commitment.

Bernama quoted Azam as saying that MACC fully supports the vision and commitment of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the government in eradicating corruption and reducing national leakages. Furthermore, the Commission is committed to enhancing investigations through cutting-edge technology such as digitalisation and AI. 

He also lauded Anwar as having a clear vision in the fight against corruption. These include financial support from the Government and an increase in MACC officers.
