In this short announcement, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) just posted a new plan called "Pakej Remaja Keluarga Malaysia". It works similarly to the free 1GB daily giveaway but mostly for teenagers who are still studying.
According to the Facebook post, this is a new prepaid package dedicated to helping teens to access the internet for online classes from home. It's not just the students in primary and secondary schools but as well as postgraduate students.
The prepaid package is valued at RM30 with 20GB of internet data for 3 months. However, it is also mentioned that an additional 30GB will be free for the 3 months during productivie activities (like attending online classes). In other words, the usual 1GB for each day is included in this plan. It is also advertised that there is no internet cap limit.
The Pakej Remaja Keluarga Malaysia will begin on 15 October until 15 April 2022. The participating telcos are none other than Celcom, Digi, Maxis, U Mobile, TM and YES 4G.
