While some states are currently in CMCO or EMCO, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has just announced in their Facebook that our local telcos are once again giving away 1GB of internet data for free. This initiative will be done every day until 31 December 2020.
Under the Jana Semula Ekonomi Negara (PENJANA) plan, the free 1GB of internet data is eligible in the areas of education, employment (a vague term here), video conferencing, and news-based services. Furthermore, everyone will also have free Internet access for using MySejahtera app during this period wherever the Rakyat go. The telcos that are providing this service is of course none other than Celcom, Digi, Maxis, U Mobile and TM.
