MG Cyberster Malaysia release - MG Motors' first EV roadster in the nation, priced at RM319,900

In case you missed it, MG Motors Malaysia unveiled the MG Cyberster at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 which is its first electric vehicle to be sold in the country, at a price of RM319,900. Here's a breakdown of everything you need to know about the new EV.

In terms of specifications, the MG Cyberster has a motor with a maximum power of 375kW, a horsepower of 503PS, torque of up to 725Nm and acceleration of 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds. As a roadster, it has an electric soft top that can be lowered and raised, and it takes 10 seconds to climb (below 50km/h).

The battery has a capacity of 77kWh and can provide a WLTP driving range of up to 446km. Charging uses the Type 2 CCS COMBO, and the charging time takes around 10 hours for a 10%-100% charge at 7kW, or 38 minutes for a 10%-80% charge at 150kW.

Moving into the interior, the MG Cyberster has three screens consisting of a 10.25-inch Virtual Cluster display, a 7-inch Infotainment Touch Screen entertainment touchscreen, and a 7-inch Driver Information Touch Screen driver's touchscreen. There is a total of eight speakers with a BOSE sound system as well inside the EV.

Two of the seats are Y-shape Sports Seats, which are made of leather and have shoulder support for comfortable long driving distances. The seats are waterproof and breathable, as well as having 2-position memory settings. It will be offered in Ivory White, Andean Grey, Mystic Teal green, Inca Yellow, Cosmic Silver and Diamond Red.
