Xiaomi's MIUI 8 beta has been going well so far, the Stable version is ready and has started rolling out in Over-the-Air (OTA) update worldwide. Xiaomi smartphones that are running on MIUI 5, 6 and 7 will definitely get the update. Below is the official list of phones that will get the update first:

- Xiaomi Mi Max
- Xiaomi Redmi 4s
- Xiaomi Mi Note
- Xiaomi Redmi 2A
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 2
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
- Xiaomi Mi 4 China Unicom version
- Xiaomi Redmi 1S
- Xiaomi Mi 2/2S
- Xiaomi Mi 4i
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 3G
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G
There will be a second batch of OTA updates as well, which will be carried over to Redmi Pro, Mi 4C, Redmi 3S and 3X, Redmi 2, Redmi 1S and other models.
MIUI 8 is reported to have a colourful interface, yet bringing in a comprehensive breakthrough in visual design and innovative features such as easy to use and good looking design, dual user interface, running same application more than once, Mi Bus payment (available on Mi 5), comprehensive calculator with currency calculator, more fonts for better mobile reading experience, easier short cuts, new photo album, fashionable lock screen, easier text editing, new power saving mode NFC payment security, and lots more.
