Multimedia University (MMU) has launched the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE) at the Cyberjaya campus, which is the university's first dedicated faculty in the field of artificial intelligence. So, what should you know about it?
A dedicated effort for progress
At the same event, MMU also signed an MoU with MCMC to establish an AI Transformation Centre (AIX) worth RM37 million, equipped with 13 state-of-the-art laboratories to support innovation, SME development and rural community empowerment.
Additionally, the MMU President, Prof. Dato' Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su'ud, said FAIE will produce industry-ready graduates, while collaborations with more than 40 strategic partners will strengthen the country's AI talent.
Furthermore, the launch of FAIE and AIX shows MMU's commitment to driving the growth of AI through education, research and industry collaboration. This could make the tech benefits more accessible to Malaysians.
