The average laptop users may not be used to seeing non-gaming laptops from MSI, but they are available and a new one has just been released. MSI Malaysia has announced that two new Modern series laptops available starting today - the Modern 14 and Modern 15.
The new laptops will come equipped with the 11th Gen Intel Core CPU. In total, there will be three laptops available, all running the quad-core Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU (max 4.7GHz). They will also support Thunderbolt 4. First, there's the smaller Modern 14, which comes in only one variant. It has a 14-inch IPS display, 16GB of RAM, and 4GB of VRAM for its Nvidia GeForce MX450 GPU.
Then there's the Modern 15, which has two different variants. Both share the same CPU, 8GB RAM, and 512GB SSD storage capacity. However, one variant will have a lower-end display that covers only 45% of the NTSC colour gamut and uses the new Iris Xe graphics, while the other has a display with 72% NTSC colour gamut and uses the GeForce MX450 GPU with 2GB of VRAM.
Besides that, the new Modern 14 and Modern 15 are ultra-compact laptops that are relatively light at 1.3kg and 1.6kg respectively. They also have screens with thin bezels, up to 10 hours of battery life, and supports Hi-Res Audio so you can better enjoy multimedia content.
