MSI is offering a 60-day extended warranty for all laptops that expire during the MCO

We all know that the COVID-19 pandemic has far-reaching effects. For us here in Malaysia, it has caused the government to declare a movement control order (MCO) that prevents us from leaving our homes unless it's to buy essentials. When it comes to warranty claims, you probably can't do so since the service centres won't be open. Because of that, MSI is planning to provide a warranty extension.

As mentioned, warranty extensions are great for the current situation in Malaysia. MSI is offering this for all MSI laptop owners, who own an MSI laptop with a warranty that has or is expiring during the MCO. The company will extend your warranty period by 60 days for free, ensuring that you can still make your claims if you run into issues with your laptop. The 60-day extension will begin from the day that MCO is lifted, which is currently 28 April 2020. Of course, terms and condition apply.

It's good to know that if your laptop decides to have an untimely hiccup, you can still claim warranty after MCO. MSI's decision to make it count from after MCO is a smart one too, as it accounts for the possibility in the MCO getting another extension. With that said, do you think that the MCO will be extended?
