Although the official start of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 is tomorrow, companies have already begun sharing new tech at the annual tech conference. This year, artificial intelligence (AI) continues to be the focus, and Honor has some cool stuff to show this time.
AI-powered Humanoid Robots
Upon taking the stage, Honor showcased various AI-related innovations in accordance with the company's Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI) vision. Among them its Honor's first humanoid robot, intended for the consumer market. Honor's goal for this robot is to provide shopping assistance, workplace inspections, and 'supportive companionship'.
According to Honor, its "deep understanding of users developed through its smartphones and connected devices" is what differentiates its robot from traditional robots. Continuous development of user behaviour is thanks to AI-embedded devices, which include the newer smartphones we have today.
Robot Phone
The other big tech reveal on Honor's stage is the Robot Phone. Honor described the Robot Phone as a new type of smartphone, one that combines "AI interaction with robot-grade motion and cinematic imaging capabilities". Instead of tapping on a screen manually or issuing voice commands, the way you use this phone is by communicating the with the AI. During the showcase, Honor revealed the concept as a phone with an attached camera that can robot.

According to the company, the Robot Phone can provide all-angle AI video, dance to the beat of music, and take photos for you. In fact, it comes with a three-axis gimbal stabilisation system and Super Steady Video mode to capture super smooth videos. Thanks to the 200MP camera embedded on the robot, the image quality should also be quite good.
MWC is just starting, but you can already tell that the focus on AI is only becoming heavier this year. We'll be keeping our eyes open for more MWC 2026 announcements, so stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, do let us know what you think about Honor's new robots. Are they the robots of the future you envisioned?
