For your information, the “Madani Budget” will offer RM388.1billion for the government. The operating budget will be RM289.1 billion and RM99 billion for development expenditure. From the total budget, RM8 billion was distributed as the Rahmah cash aid programme.
On the other hand, RM725 million was set aside for digital connectivity in 47 industrial areas and nearly 3,700 schools. Interestingly, there will be a 100% statutory income tax exemption for manufacturers of EV chargers. This law is effective immediately from 2023 to 2032. You can also enjoy 100% allowance on investment tax for five years. Notably, companies leasing EVs will have tax breaks for lease not exceeding RM300000.
