The Ministry of Public Works (KKR) will likely not continue with the installation of glowing road lines in the dark or ' glow in the dark ' in road areas without lights. This is a major surprise for road users. So, what should you know about it?

Deputy Public Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said KKR had tried using the method in several areas before, but the results of the experiment did not meet the experts' wishes. The minister says:

“...so we may not continue the glow-in-the-dark line besides the cost is expensive... we will continue to use the white line for areas without street lights.”

In another development, Ahmad said the decision on the use of the multi-lane fast flow (MLFF) toll payment system is expected to be finalized on December 16 . According to him, the proposed implementation of the MLFF is still under careful consideration by KKR, in addition to having to obtain the approval of the highway concessionaires involved. Maslan says:

"The problem now is 'concession on concession'... because a new concession wants to make MLFF on 33 old concessions that own highways in 33 areas with half of them between 2,500 and 1,500 kilometres (highways) owned by PLUS."

However, he explained that PLUS does not agree to 'concession on concession' because it has its own capacity to implement MLFF. Following that, he will prepare Cabinet Papers. We have yet to confirm other details on the news. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon.
