For those who are itching to go out more and maybe get a haircut, it looks like we're finally going to be able to do so. Our Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has announced the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) phase, which will see several more restrictions lifted beginning on 10 June 2020 to 31 August 2020.

In his live address today, he confirmed the restrictions that are going to be lifted soon. First, interstate movement and domestic travels are now allowed, unless the location you live in or want to travel to has been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO). Businesses that have been given the green light to reopen during RMCO include hair salons, open markets, food courts, and more. Educational institutions and certain industries like the film industry will be allowed to reopen in stages, but with more stringent SOPs to follow.

During the live address today, our Prime Minister confirmed that this phase is part of our country's exit strategy for the MCO. The next phase that will begin once RMCO ends on 31 August 2020 is expected to be the normalisation phase. As the term suggests, it's when we can hope for everything to go back to as close to normal as possible.

The details and various SOPs will probably take some time to be released, but it's good to know that life in Malaysia is gradually heading back to normalcy.
