Previously, Malaysia's first "flying car" was supposed to take off in October but nothing seemed to happen. Well, hold on to your seatbelts because according to Entrepreneur Development Minister Redzuan Yusof at the recent Dewan Rakyat meeting, he will personally "be riding the flying vehicle" this coming Thursday (21 November). He also invited the opposition MPs to come and take a look for themselves.
Is this a formal invitation? It's quite late for one if it is. Anyway, Redzuan also stated that he might also be coming in a two-man vehicle which could mean the flying vehicle is only a two-seater (or simply just a car with two seats lol). Anyway, he further stated that he personally invite Mohd Shahar Abdullah (BN-Paya Besar) to come and sit with him (if he wants to) and take pictures. To add on, if there is still time and no other session after 2 PM on that day, Redzuan said the flying test will continue in Subang.

In case you have been missing out this "flying car" story, this is a full initiative by a private Malaysia company. Developed by Aerodyne Group, the flying car is powered by a lithium-ion battery and four motors together. It's said that it can lift 150 - 200kg and hover above the ground at 50m, travelling at the speed of 60km/h from 30 to 90 minutes. It also has a name which is Vector and aside from transporting people, it can also be used for cargo transfer and surveillance as well.
So what do you think of this? Could this be a bluff or it's for real? We can only wait until Thursday should they invite some media to witness the flying car. Until then, stay tuned for more cool tech news at TechNave.com.
