At the International Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exhibition 2025 (ITEX 2025), two Malaysian brothers, Mohammad Parsa Parhizkar (12) and Mohammad Rohan Parhizkar (9), were honoured with the "Best Young Inventor Excellence Award (Primary Level)". They are students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Putrajaya Presint 8-1.

Introducing Minedu AI

The two young brothers have been working on a project called Minedu AI, an educational tool that transforms the popular game Minecraft into an interactive learning platform. By integrating AI, the system aligns with Malaysia's primary school syllabus, allowing students to explore subjects such as Science, Biology, and Geography through engaging, AI-driven gameplay.

Additionally, Minedu AI also secured a gold medal in the World Young Inventors Exhibition category, distinguishing them among 144 participants from 55 national and international schools across Malaysia.

Collaboration with Google Malaysia

Supported by Google Malaysia, the two young brothers have even established their own company, Minedu AI, becoming some of the youngest entrepreneurs in the country. Their AI-powered plugin utilises Google's Gemini AI to provide real-time, personalised feedback within the game, enhancing the educational experience.

The solution is currently being piloted in schools interested in educational technology innovations. On top of that, the brothers are generating revenue by licensing their plugin and conducting AI training workshops for students.

It's not the first time that a young Malaysian has won an award for something similar. Just last year, a 16-year-old Malaysian teenager was announced as one of the Apple Swift Student Challenge winners, which you can read all about here.
